Working with Victims and Survivors of CSAM for Mental Health Professionals

This training series educates mental health professionals on how to best support victims and survivors of CSAM. NCMEC developed this training series in collaboration with adult survivors, caregivers, mental health professionals, law enforcement, attorneys, forensic interviewers, and many others in this field.

Topics covered in this series include:

• Unique challenges that exist for survivors of CSAM.

• Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) and how it's different from Child Sexual Abuse (CSA).

• Importance of respecting survivors’ choice, consent, and control.

• Recognize the complexities of treating victims and survivors of CSAM.
