Victim Interviewing and Professional Collaboration in CSAM Cases
This training is one in a series of modules to educate law enforcement on how to best support victims and survivors of CSAM. The training builds upon the foundational module, Understanding CSAM and Its Impacts, and the theme of choice, consent, and control. NCMEC developed this training in collaboration with adult survivors, law enforcement, caregivers, attorneys, forensic interviewers, and many others in this field.
Topics covered in this training include:
• Identifying benefits of working with other child-serving professionals as part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) to best support survivors of CSAM.
• Describing the benefits of working with a trained forensic interviewer.
• Defining best practices for self-care concerning instances of CSAM for both survivors, their families, and law enforcement.
