
Supporting Survivors of CSAM in a Therapeutic Setting
This training is one in a series of modules to educate mental health professionals on how to best support victims and survivors of CSAM. The training builds upon the foundational module, Understanding CSAM and Its Impacts, and the theme of choice, consent, and control. NCMEC developed this training in collaboration with adult survivors, caregivers, mental health professionals, law enforcement, attorneys, forensic interviewers, and many others in this field.
Topics covered in this training include:
• Recognizing the complexities of treating victims and survivors of CSAM.
• Identifying commonalities of working with victims and survivors of CSAM.
• Implementing best practices for how to best support victims and survivors of CSAM regarding their mental health.
