Chad Hoffman

Inspector Chad Hoffman began his career in law enforcement in 1996 as a police officer with the Tallahassee Police Department (TPD). In 1998, Hoffman was selected to the TPD's,  Community Oriented Policing (COP) Squad. This specialized unit addressed high crime areas within Tallahassee.  While working on the COP Squad, Hoffman was awarded the TPD's, Division Officer of the Year (2001), as well as Runner-Up for Florida Officer of the Year (Florida Police Chiefs Association, 1999). In 2002, Hoffman accepted a position as a Special Agent with the FDLE. Hoffman's current duties are as an Inspector within the Investigations and Forensic Science Section. Inspector Hoffman is the statewide CART Coordinator as well as the North Florida Coordinator for regional operations regarding the apprehension of registered sexual predators and offenders. Inspector Hoffman also is one of four Inspectors statewide that authorize all Amber Alerts and Missing Child Alerts. Along with his current unit, Inspector Hoffman is currently in the process of implementing new training in regards to how 911 Emergency Dispatchers respond to missing kids who have Autism.

Jon Roddenberry

Senior Management Analyst Supervisor (SMAS) Jon Roddenberry works for the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE). He has worked for FDLE for 23 years and has served in a variety of units throughout his career to include Public Records, Fingerprinting, and the Information Delivery Team which oversees FCIC/NCIC training for the State of Florida.  Prior to supervising Missing Persons, SMAS Roddenberry worked many years for the Sex Offender Registry in the Offender Enforcement & Apprehension Unit and was responsible for the coordination of regional and statewide operations regarding the tracking and enforcement of Florida’s Sexual Offender/Predator and Career Offender registration laws.  SMAS Roddenberry is one of the supervisors of the Missing Endangered Persons Information Clearinghouse for Florida. In his current role, SMAS Roddenberry oversees the day to day operations of the Clearinghouse and the issuance of Amber, Missing Child and Silver Alerts for the State of Florida. 

Pete Warren

Senior Management Analyst Supervisor

Senior Management Analyst Supervisor (SMAS) Peter Warren has been a member of FDLE for 18 years. He started his career in the Missing Children Information Clearinghouse. During his time in the Clearinghouse SMAS Warren assisted with maintaining and improving the MCIC database and served as the AMBER Alert coordinator. For the next three years he worked with the Offender Registration and Data Management Team. In this position he worked to improve the functions of the Missing Persons Database, Sex Offender Database and Career Offender Database. In September of 2017, he accepted a position as the Senior Management Analyst Supervisor within the FDLE Missing Persons unit. SMAS Warren was part of a management team that facilitated the transition of the Florida Clearinghouse to a 24/7 operation. SMAS Warren was the recipient of a Davis Productivity Award and was part of a team that received the 2012 Florida Missing Children’s Day Task Force / Team of the Year award.

Carly Tapp (Moderator)

Program Specialist, MCD


Carly Tapp is the Program Specialist for AMBER Alert Operations at the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. In this role, she supports the Call Center in facilitating secondary distribution of AMBER Alerts and maintaining program data. Carly also works with Clearinghouse Managers, AMBER Alert Coordinators, external private partners, and federal agencies as a liaison for AMBER Alert and Clearinghouse needs. Carly has a BA in Psychology and a MS in Forensic Science. She has held several roles at NCMEC since 2008, including working in the Call Center and in Photo Distribution. Prior to her time at NCMEC, Carly coached a college debate team and worked for a higher education non-profit organization in Washington, DC.

Susan Braze (Moderator)

Office Manager/Training Team


Susan (Suki) loves being a part of a small but impactful team and contributing to a mission that matters. She holds a B.A. in Theater from Columbia College Chicago and has performed on the stages of The Second City, Gorilla Tango, and the Chicago Women's Funny Festival. She also has over 16 years of barista experience under her belt, and can foam a cappuccino like nobody's business. Susan is a proud vegan, runner, and animal lover.
